Beauty and Butterflies

Notice the white butterfly in the middle right

We took a quick mini-vacation to a hotel in Boulder that had a lovely patio with flowers and a great location next to Boulder Creek. Even though it was a hot weekend, we enjoyed a shady walk along the creek and the flowers on the patio at the Millennium Hotel Boulder. I also accomplished one of my summer “to do” items, an outdoor arts performance of some kind. We enjoyed Comedy of Errors at the Colorado Shakespeare Festival on the CU campus. So still waiting for cooler weather for more gardening, other than quick forays out in the early morning to pull a few weeds or water. Meanwhile, this is how a garden can look in raised beds with professional help, lots of water, fertilizer and plants packed tightly into good soil. There were lots of small white butterflies dancing around the flowers and I took dozens of pictures trying to capture some of them. They were enjoying the beautiful feast of nectar.
